Chairman's Message of Condolence

Chairman’s message

The feeling of loss throughout the World when the news of her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II’s death was announced was so palpable. She embodied all those characteristics we so respect and admire. Her selfless devotion to the duties expected of a Monarch, and the gracious manner in which she carried them out, has endeared her greatly into the hearts of her people.

On behalf of this community I am sending the Royal family our deepest sympathy at losing both a Queen and a mother who has sustained our nation for so many years.

Paraphrasing a comment, she once made, “Monarchy is not a person, it is an idea”, just look at how well she epitomised that. Her Christian values gave her the strength to lead by example and we are the poorer for her passing. That said; we now have a loving son as our King and he carries his mother’s sense of devotion and commitment to the Country he now heads. We are so fortunate.

A book of condolence will be available in Canolfan Dyffryn from Monday 12th September for people to make their own personal message. Floral tributes can be placed at Dyffryn Garden.

Neges y Cadeirydd

Roedd y teimlad o golled ledled y byd mor amlwg pan gyhoeddwyd y newyddion am farwolaeth Ei Mawrhydi'r Frenhines Elizabeth II. Roedd hi'n ymgorffori'r holl nodweddion rydyn eu parchu a'u hedmygu cymaint. Mae ei hymroddiad anhunanol i'r dyletswyddau a ddisgwylid gan Frenhines, a'r modd grasol y cyflawnodd hwynt, wedi ei hudo yn ddirfawr i galonnau ei phobl.

Ar ran y gymuned hon, rwy’n danfon ein cydymdeimlad dwysaf at y teulu Brenhinol am golli brenhines a mam, sydd wedi cynnal ein cenedl ers cymaint o flynyddoedd.

Gan aralleirio sylw fe wnaeth hi unwaith, “Nid yw brenhiniaeth yn berson, mae'n syniad”, edrychwch i weld pa mor dda gwnaeth ymgorffori hyn. Roedd ei gwerthoedd Cristnogol yn nerth iddi arwain trwy esiampl, a ni yw'r tlotaf am ei marwolaeth. Wedi dweud hynny; mae gennym bellach fab cariadus fel ein Brenin, ac mae ganddo ymdeimlad ei fam o ymroddiad ac ymrwymiad i'r deyrnas mae'n bellach yn bennaeth arni. Rydym mor ffodus.

Bydd llyfr cydymdeimlad ar gael yng Nghanolfan Dyffryn o ddydd Llun Medi 12fed i bobl rhoi eu neges bersonol. Gellir gosod teyrngedau blodau yng Ngardd Dyffryn.
